what is the intro to pony club course?

Intro to Pony Club is a ten week course, run twice per season (October – December, February – April) which are aimed at introducing pony-mad children and their families to the world of Pony Club. Children do not need to have their own pony to participate in this course. The programme is mostly theory-based but may include some riding on our safe ponies, depending on availability.

Yes, we offer a Summer Grounds Pass, which gives you almost unlimited access to our arena and grounds from October - April. (The exception being no riding on the grounds on Tuesday or Wednesday after 5pm when our rallies are being held.)

The cost is $600, and pass holders are not required to complete working bees or help with events. If you would like to purchase a Summer Grounds Pass, please email us at masseyponyclub@gmail.com

As an Adult Rider, If you would like to ride at Massey you are very welcome to join the Club as a Horsemaster and enjoy all of our facilities, whether you join in the regularly scheduled Adult Ride rallies or not. Horsemasters are required to meet working bee and event set-up requirements.

Massey Pony Club’s scheme ponies have now retired from scheme pony service, but our committee is happy to support members in their search for a lease pony. Lease ponies can make Pony Club accessible to families who need a bit more time to fund a pony for their child.

Non-members are required to pay a ground fee of $20.00 per horse to use our riding facilities on a casual basis. Ground fees can be paid into the drop-box at the club house using the envelopes provided. If you intend to ride at MPC frequently throughout the season we suggest you consider enrolling as a full member.

Please be aware the gates are locked so if you intend to ride without a MPC member to accompany you then you will need to contact us via email to arrange to ride at a time you can be let in.
