SUMMER GROUNDS PASS

We offer a Summer Grounds Pass, which gives you almost unlimited access to our arena and grounds from October - April. (The exception being no riding on the grounds on Tuesday or Wednesday after 4pm when our rallies are being held and when there is a working bee / event on.)

The cost is $300 including gst, and pass holders are not required to complete working bees or help with events. The Summer Grounds Pass is not a membership and includes no NZPCA fees or voting rights. It does mean you are exempt from paying the $25 Grounds Fee, if you attend clinics held at Massey Pony Club.

CASUAL GROUNDS USE FOR NON-MEMBERS

To use the Massey Pony Club Grounds please first check on our Facebook page that the grounds are open, then email us at masseyponyclub@gmail.com or message us via our Facebook page with the following info:

  • Your full name

  • The date and time you’d like to visit

  • Contact phone number

INFORMATION AND RULES FOR CASUAL USE OF THE GROUNDS FOR NON-MEMBER RIDERS

  • ​Payment of $25 per horse is required to be made online to MPC bank account before you are issued the gate code.

    Massey Pony Club 38-9010-0567220-01.

    Please enter your name and “casual” as your payment reference. Summer Grounds Pass holders are exempt from this fee.

  • Upon contacting Massey Pony club to arrange a date/time to visit our club, a member of the committee will provide you with a one time code to the gate for you. Please close the gate on entry/exit, the gate automatically locks.

  • Yellow-tagged helmets to be worn by all riders at all times when riding and red back protectors must be worn by all riders using the XC course.

  • Please complete the incident register in the bathroom, if you have a fall or an accident.

DISCLAIMER AND DECLARATION:

Massey Pony Club is not responsible for you, your horse, your car/truck, float or equipment.  You agree to be here on your own accord, and by requesting to use Massey Pony Club’s grounds, you agree to comply with, and be bound by, our rules, and to be bound by the NZPCA constitution, regulations and policies whilst taking part in this event/activity.
Each rider/parent of person riding aged 16 years and under hereby makes these declarations:-

  1. I will not hold Massey Pony Club, Area or NZPCA, or their respective officers responsible for any claims, losses, expenses and costs (including legal costs) which may arise from or in connection with my participation in the above event/activity except in the case of gross negligence or a willful act or omission on the part of the Club, Area or NZPCA. 

  2. I indemnify Massey Pony club, Area or NZPCA from all claims, losses and expenses (including legal costs) suffered or incurred at any time as a result of, or resulting directly or indirectly from, my failure to observe the constitutions, regulations, policies, manuals, guidelines and reasonable directions of the Club, Area or NZPCA respectively. 

  3. I also understand that this agreement only permits me to participate in the above Event/Activity. 

  4. I also acknowledge that I am the Person Responsible for any horse that I ride during the above Event/Activity.  

  5. I acknowledge and declare that I do not have any medical conditions which may impact on my participation in the above Event/Activity.
